We had a wonderful leisurely Saturday morning together. You picked out your storybook and wanted it read to you - this is the most interested you have been in it yet. I think you are starting to recognize the pictures of you in it. You get very excited when we turn to those pages.
Finally we managed to get out of the house to do our grocery shopping. You continued to make 'big boy' strides as you rode in the front of the shopping cart again, this time during a shopping trip at Costco with both Daddy and Mommy. You were a laughing, happy passenger the whole shopping trip. It might not be Disneyworld, but apparently, for you, it's close enough.

Then we got into our swimsuits and headed off for a late afternoon/early evening session at the local waterpark. We tried out your new life jacket, which you loved, especially after you figured out it functioned basically like a mini-raft, and we could tow you around the pool on your back.
And finally, for the first time, you realized the intense joy of SPLASHING!! Once you figured out that you could jump up and down in the water, and use your arms to make big splashes, you were ready to play for HOURS! You were hilarious to watch, especially when you would accidentally splash yourself in the face, and then look around suspiciously to see who had squirted you.
And now for Mama's favorite picture of the swim outing - getting dried off to go home! You don't even cry when you are cold, just laughs and smiles all the time. I LOVE that you are finally getting some fat rolls! You were adorable as a tall, slim dude, and you are even MORE adorable as a chunky little chubster. Not that you will ever rival your cousins for chubbiness, but I love the squishiness that is slowly arriving. Until your next growth spurt, that is.

And after all that you weren't tuckered out when we put you to bed in new jammies, instead you wanted to play with the monsters on your feet.
Finally you crashed, and slept soundly through the night!
